Carries Journey
Carrie Ellis Gronert, is a mother of 3 boys. Carrie had her first massive heart attack in December 2012 at the age of 34. Her first massive attack had her to stay time in the hospital during her son's 18th birthday. She was diagnosied with Genetic Heart Disease. Going forward through the years of 2012 to March 2022, Carrie lived a life of changes. She adjusted and followed all doctors orders to live a healthy life for her children. Carrie's new normalcy had been going well until March of 2022 when she suffered another heart attack, where they operated and placed more stints in her heart. Then while out for a walk in September 2022, Carrie endured another massive heart attack. This last heart attack has caused Carrie several trips to the emergency rooms and lengthy hospital stays. The doctors and nurses have told this young lady of 44 years old, there is nothing more they can do for this young lady's beautiful heart. A heart that has shown and given so much tender love and care through her short years of life. A heart of a mother who can only wish today to watch her middle son graduate, knowing she will not be able watch her youngest son graduate. Yet, so ever THANKFUL that she has the memory of watching her oldest son graduate. Today, Carrie is on Hospice still trying to smile through her last days. Her loving heart is operating only at 20% and is rapidly obtaining fluids and shutting her othe organs down. Although, her heart and body are declining, she tries to remain strong and carry through.
Carrie's wishes to pass at home with the care of Rainbow Hospice and her children. Carrie's mother lives in Kentucky and has made several trips back and forth to be with her daughter. Unfortunately, this will be her mother's last trip where she'll be able to see her beautiful daughters face. Carrie's final wishes are to leave her children and family without the burden for the cost of her funeral expenses. This worrisome of burdening her children with this cost dwindles that bright smile away in her last remaining days.
Any help financially or through sharing is greatly appreciated. All donations will go toward the funeral expenses. If any remaining donations are left will go toward the boys in taking a family trip to Florida to Disney Land in the memory of their mother. As this trip has been planned yet Carrie's day are short and Unfortunately she is not healthy enough to travel safely.
Thank you for your prayers, donations and time in sharing Carrie's story.
