Chris’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On June 8, 2018, a simple trip to pick up a pizza changed the life of my friend and colleague, Chris Richey, forever. Chris had just picked up his pizza, and was walking back to his car, where his wife was waiting for him, when he was hit by a Jeep traveling about 35 mph while he was in the middle of a crosswalk, with the lights flashing. He had no time to react. After he was hit, he was thrown thrown 20 feet in the air and landed in the road. He sustained catastrophic injuries. He’s undergone 2 surgeries so far and has more to follow, including bone grafts and scar tissue removal surgeries. His doctor has estimated he will not be able to return to work until December 2018 at the earliest. Chris’s family is struggling without his salary, as they try to maintain the household bills, pay people to do all the things Chris would do around the house, medical expenses, travel back and forth to the hospital, doctors, physical therapy, etc. Please help! Chris is a great guy. He’s the kind of guy who’d give you the shirt off his back. He is always the first one who would step up to help anyone who ever neeeded anything. Now he needs our help. Please help Chris on his road to recovery, just as he would help you.
