Mark Chudy is my step dad, one of my most favorite people in the world. He has fought cancer for 14 years with a smile on his face the whole time. Having Non Hodgkin's Stage 4 lymphoma he needed chemo from Zion Cancer Treatment Centers. Chemo kicked the cancers butt for a lot longer than expected, but years down the road caused an aggressive bone leukemia. The only thing that would help this form of cancer is a stem cell transplant. Zion would not see Mark after being a patient for over 10 years due to insurance and the time that had lapsed between appointments (over a year). My mother researched and found Moffitt Cancer Treatment hospital in Tampa Bay, FL. They packed up and left in less than a week, this was in December 2014. Mark went through several more chemo treatments to prepare for the stem cell transplant but after all this time was recently told his body would not be able to handle the procedure. Mark recently had a stroke which caused him to go blind and caused the doctors to call it quits on his treatments. Mark's one wish before he leaves this world is to be home with his friends and family that love him dearly in Michigan. To do this we will need a life flight and thus will need to be paid for out of pocket. My family and Mark would appreciate any help and prayers anyone can give us! Thank you!
