Hello! My name is Crystal and I’m the proud sister of an amazing little girl, Destiny. A day after Destiny’s 10th birthday April 25, 2022 we where told the devastating news that has already changed our lives forever. We where told Destiny has a 5cm brain tumor (Germ Cell Brain Cancer) which is inoperable because of it’s size and location.

Since diagnosis, Destiny has completed one round of chemotherapy. Her second round of chemo is tomorrow 5/31/22. She also had surgery for a VP shunt. A VP shunt is a plastic tube that drains extra cerebrospinal fluid from the brain. Destiny has not been in school for a little over a month, she misses all her teachers and friends dearly (Green Park Elementary School). Most of last month she’s been in the hospital (Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital) in Spokane, Washington.

In honor of Brain Cancer Awareness Month (May) I would like to add the Most common symptoms of brain tumors: nausea, vision problems, walking and balance problems, changes in personality/irritability, sleep apnea, headache, pain (especially back pain), clumsiness/weakness, neck tilt or squint, precocious puberty, growth retardation, seizure not related to fever, persistent vomiting without cause, staring and repeated automatic movements.

We are asking for donations to cover medical expenses (that are not covered by her medical insurance) from her journey to being cancer free. In addition, my parents both have not been working for over a month now (caring for my sister out of town) and bills have been adding up.
