This GoFundMe is for our dear family member Kimberly Bigby, who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Unfortunately, her cancer treatment cannot continue if we don't have the funds to pay for chemotherapy, medical bills, and possibly even surgery. We are reaching out and looking for any form of help because we don't know how else to offset the cost in such a short time frame. Every donation takes us one step closer to our goal. Kimberly's journey has not been easy. We would like to share a little more about her unfortunate story:
Kimberly has been visiting her primary doctor because of unusual concerns she had about her breast, but was misdiagnosed, and was only told in the last few months that the stage 4 breast cancer has spread to her lungs.
Kimberly, despite this shocking and devastating news, has continued to work every day, chose to give her life to the Lord and get baptized, and is trusting God for a miracle of healing and restoration. She also continues to take care of her mother who is elderly and disabled, and never complains nor allows herself a pity party.
She had relentlessly tried to get treatment, however, was recently told by her doctor that due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, she will need to change course and try a new type of chemo drug.
This has proven very challenging as it cost 1.5 million Jamaican dollars for the initial two treatments, with follow up treatment every three weeks costing six hundred thousand dollars each. At this point, she does not have the money to start the treatment. Family and friends are assisting, however seeing the aggressive nature of cancer we the family are pleading for any financial assistance along with your prayers for a miracle.
