Help Bruce Beat Cancer

For those who don't know, Bruce is my sister Minnie's husband.  They have been married for 21 years and have a son, Jack, who is 18  and will be starting his senior year of high school in the fall.
Bruce has been diagnosed with malignant Esophageal cancer.
He will need chemo, radiation & probably surgery to beat this thing.
The family does have medical insurance but have not met their family deductible of $5000.  His first appointment is already going to cost $1000.
Bruce has not been at his current job very long and their savings were depleated while he was in search of work.
