Many of you have already met and loved on this sweet little man. You know how rambunctious he is; how cuddly, playful, and gentle; how relentlessly curious and brave. He just turned six months old. Our sweet boy loves going on hikes and climbing trees on his leash; he is a favorite regular at our local coffee shops.
But after a fall in our home, Bear is going to need surgery. Our vet has informed us that the best outcome for him would be through amputation rather than attempting a series of orthopedic surgeries.
Luckily, because Bear is so young, he is expected to adjust to the changes this will bring with no problem. With some rest and a bit of practice, it sounds like he will be back at the park with us in no time.
He is currently as comfortable as he can be. We have been able to get him medication to ease his pain, and we're doing all we can to tend to his needs, but we need your help to take the next step.
Veterinarians require complete payment upfront; our baby cannot be treated until the money is paid. As employees at a school and a restaurant, we cannot shoulder this unforeseen expense, so we're turning to our community to ask for support. Your donation will go directly to the cost of surgery and the additional medical care and aftercare associated with this accident.
We cannot thank you enough for your help.
