If you know her, it's hard not to love her. Maybe you recognize her from the sidelines of her kids games (Addie and Dylan) cheering them on. Maybe you recognize her from waitressing around the valley for the past 20 years, most notably the Diner in Carbondale. Maybe it's from her happy place, she's a river rat! Or maybe your a complete stranger and recognize her from that time you were down and out and she took the time to ask if you were ok, or stopeed along side the road to help with a flat or run to town to get you gas. That's who she really is at her core, while exuding quite the tough like exterior, her heart is pure gold.
And now Chelsea needs our help. Sadly, last week Chelsea was in a terrible accident while performing her long time job as a window washer in the valley. She took a tumble of a 16 foot ladder, severely shattering a couple vertebra, creating a massive brain bleed, and 13 staples in the back of her head.
Her outlook amazingly should be a full recovery, but it will be a long road.
Given that her jobs always required her body to be in movement, this will be a very difficult time for her as she watches the medical bills pile up, not having the ability to bring in any money, all while putting her 2 kids through college.
If we could all just chip in a little bit, even a tiny bit, everything helps right now. It can only help in her healing in some way easing her mind that there is some help when it comes to financials.
