I am starting this page for my wonderful mother who has recently gone through cancer treatment.
Please help us pay back the incredible team of people who saved my mother's life. The following is a letter from my mama about her experience...
“Not so long ago I received one of the most dreaded phone calls anyone can receive, ”The tests are in and you have breast cancer”. My initial reaction was “No way can I have breast cancer. Nobody in my family has had breast cancer!”
Well, things happened very fast after that call. After five months of tests, surgeries, and radiation treatments, I’m happy to say that I’ve finished the treatments and I’m doing well. I’ve come out the other side of the experience with nothing but gratitude for the people and technology that helped to save my life. I see it as nothing less than a miracle.
I’m so grateful for the wonderful and loving care I received. Unfortunately, I’m currently faced with upwards of $50,000 in medical bills with little or no way to pay. I believe that the people who treated me deserve to be paid and I feel awful that I don’t have the means to give to them more.
This is not about me right now, it’s about the wonderful people who showed up in my life to treat me and help me through this cancer experience. I love them all. They saved my life!
With so much gratitude,
Laura”
