For those of you who are close to me, you know that I was in end-stage liver failure for many months and required a life-saving liver transplant in order to survive. On February 28th, I received this transplant and remained hospitalized for 31 days battling two types of liver rejection following the surgery. Prior to receiving my transplant, I had to be hospitalized on two other occasions due to liver failure. This journey has been a rollercoaster ride for not only me, but for my family and friends as well.

I'm incredibly grateful to be alive today and for all of the support I have received. I was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure in November, and by February I required a donor liver to live. Between November and March, I'd been hospitalized three times, gotten bloodwork done at least once every week, traveled to and from Chapel Hill several times for appointments and procedures, gone to 25 + doctor's appointments, and even gotten the liver transplant.

This short journey so far has been one of the most unexpected, life-changing experiences I've had. I'm grateful to have had it, otherwise, I would not be here today. Not only has this experience been incredibly difficult physically, but mentally as well. Again, thank you to everyone who has supported me. I don't think I would be here without you all.
