Hello dear friends and family ;)
This July I am going to Australia to study worship music at Hillsong College.
This is one of the most vulnerable steps I’ve made in my life. As someone who strives to be self-sufficient and never be a burden to anyone else, asking for support and donations towards my studies is extremely hard for me.
Furthermore, by going to Australia this July I am stepping outside of my comfort zone and doing something I never thought I would do in my wildest dreams. It’s exciting and yet truly scary. I’m going alone and immersing myself into a whole new culture.
This isn’t a decision I made on a whim. This trip and study abroad is something that has taken a great deal of thought and effort. I even began a worship arts internship at my church this past September. Going to Hillsong College will be a continuation of that journey.
My goal is to grow in my independence and faith as well as pursue God through music. This step will allow me to take songwriting and performance further. I want to write music that is relatable, that challenges perspectives, and offers a sense of gratitude for what we have in every moment.
I am so grateful for everyone that has already supported me thus far with kind words, encouragement, and prayer.
