Hello, my name is James M. Sigmon Jr. But everyone calls me Mike. I am starting a fundraiser for my brother-in-law, Eddie Eagle. His family and himself, has had a rough go of it lately. And there doesn't seem to be a happy ending for this. He is one of the hardest-working men I know. To go along with being one of the best friends anyone could ask for. And no one could have asked for a better father for my nieces and husband to my sister.

He would never ask for help himself. But he has been sick and hasn't worked in a year and a half. They did tons of tests and couldn't determine what was wrong with him. Finally, after a long time, they discovered he has an extremely rare bacterial infection. And for the past few weeks, he has been on an IV pumping anti-bacterial juice into him. And also learned he got this bacterial infection from the hospital on an earlier procedure he had done there. And they came in yesterday and said they were going to be moving him to hospice.

About a month ago, when the weather was at its coldest this winter. His furnace went out. It got down to 28 degrees on the thermostat before they installed the new furnace. Luckily no pipes busted in their plumbing but they did get one small leak.. But, just the furnace cost over 6 grand of money they just don't have.

I don't know what else to say except no one is less deserving of what has happened to them. It has been a terrible illness that has turned Eddie into a ghost of who he was. Thank you to those who took the time to read this.
