"Fyffe For Life" "Mortgage Payoff Project"

Hello, our names are Mandy and Brad Candelaria.

As many of you know Nick Fyffe passed away suddenly in a 4-wheeler accident just feet from his home on Friday, July 21, 2023. Nick was a heck of a man and he loved and cared for his family unconditionally. His smile and laughter lit up the room. He was a friend, buddy, and father figure to many. He was a hell of a welder, carpenter, and mechanic and he was always tinkering with his house or his man cave. He left a personal stamp in every space of the family home he, Sonia, and his youngest boy shared. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.

Nick's wife Sonia was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast cancer in the latter part of 2022, she underwent 3 months of chemo only to find out that the cancer remained untouched. This summer Sonia underwent a double mastectomy and recently started daily radiation treatments this July of 2023. Nick was her rock and fought her cancer alongside her. His sudden passing has been devastating to not only Sonia and her two oldest boys, but especially their youngest son Gage.

The Fyffe family has been through hell and back. As many of you know Sonia's boys' dad "Chris Joubert" died leaving work a few years ago, Sonia's recent cancer diagnosis, and now the sudden passing of Nick. Sonia's health is uncertain and she is continuing to brave treatments every day but the burden is heavy. Sonia's biggest expense is her home, Gage's only known home, and the home she and Nick put so much love and care into.

To lessen the burden we are asking friends, family, and community members for "mortgage pledges". Here's how it works, Brad and I are pledging the first $1,215.00. We are asking for people to match our pledge. We need 133 pledges to be exact. For every one pledge of $1,215.00, this equals one month of a mortgage payment, this is called "Project Payoff". As soon as your pledge is received you will be added to the pledge board. I know, I know You are probably thinking, "Go fund me takes a certain percent". Yes, they do. This is factored into the $1,215.00 and split between all of the pledges. Pledges and donations can be made on this Go fund me or locally at Campco FCU in Gillette or Wright just ask for the "Fyffe" acct. The pledge board will be updated as we reach towards our goal. I also wanted to update our community on how Sonia and the boys are doing. They are doing the best they can given the circumstances. Sonia is overwhelmed and grateful for messages of love and all of the food and beverages that have been dropped off. This community has really stepped in, shown her love, and care for her and her family. Thank you, everyone. For now, a meal train will not be started as her fridge and freezers are full. Between treatments and lymph node therapy, she is grieving and making arraignments. I will continue to update everyone -Mandy
