Two weeks ago Daniel was admitted into the hospital with necrotizing fasciitis which is a serious bacterial infection under the skin. Since being admitted he has had his kidneys shut down, his liver shut down, and had a heart attack. He is currently in a medically induced coma.  At the beginning of this past week, the infectious disease doctor didn’t think Daniel was going to make it. He was on a ventilator for 10 days (which is the max they want people on a ventilator) so they put a trachea tube in to help him with his breathing. The Doctors started him on 24/7 dialysis to help with his failed kidney function. Friday they started to lift his sedation to see how he would respond, and Daniel did well but he has a long way to go. Doctors are optimistic at this point. They have said that if his kidneys don’t come back to life in The next 6 months he will go on a transplant list. As of right now, things are looking as good as they can, and everyone is optimistic about the future.


Daniel has a wife and four kids ranging in age from 2 - 18. This has been very hard on all of them especially his 10-year-old son and wife. They are hanging in there and with the support of friends and family, they are doing as good as can be expected. They appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, and support they have been given and ask that we continue to keep them in our prayers.




Daniel has been with AVI Systems for 3 1/2 years as a Design Engineer III and has worked on countless projects in Dallas and other offices. He is always willing to jump in and help where ever needed. He is a true asset to our team and the AVI family.
