Hi everyone, my name is Hazem Halawa and I’m fundraising for my cousin and here is his story.
Im Ahmed Halawa , 33 years old, and I have three children: Majdi, Sham, and Gaith.
I used to own a marketing and design company and worked hard for 15 years day and night to provide a decent life for family.
I had the most beautiful home ever , but during this ruthless war, our home, which took us years of hard work and suffering to build, was turned into a pile of ashes and rubble by the occupation's planes without any warning.
We could manage to escape that airstrike with our soals , but we couldn't manage to live a respectful life like what my kids used to , I couldn't get back to my work , because my company was destroyed too ,
and there's in no internet or electricy in Gaza since 7th of October, my children lost their education, and their childhood, instead of standing on their morning school queue,
they are standing in queus to fill water , we live in a camp, with no services to provide for human beings
I would never ask for evacuation , if at least I still have my work and my kids go to their schools , but now it's a necessity , to support my family again , provide them a descent life. ,and to save kid's childhood..
So , please, If you have kids then you know what I'm thinking of , and what is keeping me awake at night, for months ,
Help me to support my family, to work from Egypt, to provide them education, and honorable life ...
Ahmed and his family spent more than 285 days in the war. We want help and support to travel and leave Gaza, leaving all the memories behind. The official Egyptian government agency, Ya Hala, is asking for US$6,000 per adult and US$3,500 for anyone under siege. 16 years old for safe evacuation, through the Rafah crossing, and we are trying to collect this money here with your help. Here are details on how the funds will be allocated: The total amount to be raised is $20,000, or approximately US$21,000. The cost of eviction is $12,000 for two adults and $3,500 for one child, for a total of $15,500. Estimated wire transfer fee is $2,000. After subtracting the total expenses from the initial amount to be charged, we are left with $3,500. The remaining funds, $3,500, will be allocated to cover basic daily expenses such as food, water and shelter for the family until the conflict subsides. My only hope in this life is to protect my family and evacuate them to a safe place.
