A New Place to Call Home - for Shay, Shan & Tysun

My brother Ty’s WHY was his family. In every effort of every day of his life. His family was his driving passion. And it's a big familly that grew to include an entire community of people - with his kids at the heart. It’s heartbreaking that we had to say goodbye last week - celebrating the short amount of time we each had with him.

The next part of Ty's journey began at the same house he came home to as a newborn. The newspaper doesn't mention that he had been asleep when the shooter knocked on his door that night. Barefoot and shirtless - knowing his family was asleep inside. One of the stray bullets that left the shooter's gun went into the house and through the girls' room. Until recently, he had been raising his kids as a single father for 3 years and was buying that little blue house.

Ty will live in our hearts, memories, and deeds. After the tragedy, his kids, Shay, Shan, and Tysun will live with my sister in her home. The money raised by the fundraiser will go towards building the extra rooms so each of the children has a bedroom, bed, and dresser. Our family has come up with $10,000. Your donation will be added to that to help Shay, Shan, and Tysun.
