My sweet Heather and her loving partner have been dealt some of the hardest setbacks anyone should have to endure. Seven years ago, Heather was diagnosed with Thymoma cancer (the ugliest word in the dictionary). Heather has had several surgeries over the past seven years as there is no cure for Thymoma. Heather has fought and won many times over and we had hoped for brighter days ahead, but right now that light isn't shining. Heather and EJ were blessed 4 months ago with a beautiful baby boy. However, in Heather's eighth month of pregnancy, they received devastating news about their precious little guy. During an ultrasound, it was discovered that the baby had a large growth on his back....Fast forward to the birth of their little guy. After his delivery, he was rushed over to the children's hospital where tests and biopsies were done. After what felt like forever, they finally received another hard blow. Little man has Spindle Cell Sarcoma - Cancer (again, that ugly word). We don't know the outcome of his diagnosis, because just like Heather's cancer, little man also has a very rare form of cancer.

As Heather and EJ were adjusting to the unknown, Heather was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. On Wednesday, August 9th, as Heather was enjoying a pool party with family, her right eye began to droop. With the fear of a stroke, Heather was rushed to the emergency room.... This was the beginning signs of the Myasthenia, by Saturday, August 12th, she was in a full Myasthenia Crisis. She's currently in the Neuro Critical Care Unit with a very long road ahead and a lifetime of unknowns. As a family and with many loving friends we have surrounded her and her family with support, but we need a larger village to see them through all this. Heather and the baby have mounting medical bills and will continue to have as they continue treatments/surgeries. Heather and EJ have more than their share of things to worry about, they shouldn't have to worry about how they will pay to continue receiving medical care. Please help us fight!!
