Pregnant with 2 sweet baby boys, the Perkins were ecstatic! The pregnancy became extremely complicated in May with a diagnosis of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. With this diagnosis, they were immediately flown to Denver, Colorado and had surgery in utero at 18 weeks pregnant. They were required to stay in a hotel in Denver during their course of treatment over the week. The surgery improved the boys conditions tremendously and they made great strides in their growth at all of their doctor visits.
On July 20th, after their growth was no longer progressing in the womb, the two boys made their appearance into the world at only 28 weeks at Medical Center of McKinney. Tyler weighed 2.4 pounds and Jacob 1.14 pounds and with unforeseen complications they were emergently transferred to Children's Medical City Dallas. After 3 weeks of fighting for his life, Jacob passed away on August 9th. Tyler continues to make great strides in his everyday fight, but there is a long road ahead for his recovery.
The medial expenses that have already been accrued, the funeral expenses for sweet baby Jacob and the unforeseen future medical bills are too much for a family to tackle on their own.
While the family does have insurance, this does not cover 100% of the costs. Sammie is a stay at home mother and Daniel is a self employeed provider for the family, that does not have paid time off benefits.

Sammie and Daniel are traveling to and from Dallas every day to spend time equally between the hospital and their older boys at home. Gas and food while doing daily travels add up as well.

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers first and foremost and if you are able to financially contribute any amount at all it will help them so much. They have not asked for any help at all, and are the strongest parents I know.  Daniel and Sammie have not asked for help through this entire ordeal and I am doing this on my own, after I have been approached by numerous people in our community as to how they could help.
