The past six months have been incredibly challenging for my family. On New Year’s Day, my parents, brother, and their two dogs were awakened to find their house engulfed in flames. They barely had time to escape, and sadly, everything was lost— their home, belongings, and furniture. Adding to this hardship, my dad has been fighting stage 4 cancer since his diagnosis in August 2024.
