Hi...We are starting this GoFundMe for Julius Cole, a 12 year old Forest Hills kiddo who was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma on October 27, 2020.
Julius needs loads of prayers and support right now!
When Julius started his first round of chemo treatment, he had a large mass (nearly 18cm!) in his abdomen. He is just beginning his second round of chemo. Julius’ treatment is a one week stay at Childrens’ Hospital in Pittsburgh, once a month, for 6 months. So, his journey has just begun!
We met Julius when he played AYSO (soccer) the summer before Covid; Brandon coached Julius alongside our son, Sebi, through a pretty good tournament run. Julius was a pretty-darn-good goalie! Julius loves football, soccer, riding go-carts, and spending time with his family.
He is probably the biggest Steeler fan EVER! His favorite Steelers: JuJu and TJ Watt! Childrens’ put the big screen down forJulius to cheer them on during the Steelers-Cowboys game. So cool! (Extra that they pulled-off the win!)
We can speak firsthand to the impact prayers and support can have! Nearly four years ago when our son (who was only a bit older than Julius at the time) sustained a severe tbi amongst other injuries, a dear friend started a GoFundMe for our family. It helped tremendously! When you have a sick or severely injured kiddo, it’s hard to worry about normal life stressors, let alone the extra financial burden you accrue unexpectedly.
For Julius and his family, this GoFundMe will lesson the burden of medical expenses, food, gas, lodging and more. Currently, the family is down to one vehicle that is having electrical problems, causing it to shutdown. My hope of all hopes for them is that we exceed our goal, affording them the opportunity to buy or invest in a more reliable vehicle too.
I know 2020 has not been kind to so many. If you are not financially able to give, even the smallest amount, please, offer prayers for Julius.
The power of prayer is mighty! ❤️
Thank you all,
Brandon and Dayna Jones
