Hello, and where do I start? Well, it's been one hell of a week is a good start!

A week ago, my grandson Parker started with a cough that progressively got worse. He was running a fever, so my daughter and son-in-law took him to the pediatrician and was sent home with a "he has a virus, let it run its course" diagnosis.

Since that doctor visit, his condition got worse with fever and a terrible cough. Tori and Alex took Parker to urgent care where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home with antibiotics. The next day, Tori noticed that when Parker would breathe or even open his mouth, she would hear a crackling noise. They decided to take him to the ER where they took a chest x-ray and gave him a steroid shot. Fast forward to that evening into the early morning, Parker woke up upset, so Tori and Alex brought him into bed with them, where they noticed Parker felt very cold to the touch. After bundling him up, his body temperature still felt cold. They took his temperature and it was under 95 degrees. With such a low temperature off they went to the ER to confirm little man was OK. After being evaluated again, it was confirmed that Parker was hypothermic as well as having an oxygen level in the high 80s. He was transported to Advent Children's Hospital where he was diagnosed with viral sepsis. He stayed Sunday and Monday night and was discharged Tuesday.

THEN, after getting home Tuesday afternoon, Alex was not acting right. He could not put a sentence together and was very confused. Tori took Alex to the ER they had just visited with Parker a few days prior, and HE was transported as a possible stroke patient. All tests have come back negative, but this little family has been "through it." Alex is still in the hospital waiting for the ALL CLEAR from all doctors involved in his care.

Your help in any capacity would be so helpful for lost work, meals, and all the intense medical bills to follow.
