Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Tammy Anderson. I am the great aunt to William Lincoln Underwood. Lincoln is the youngest son of Justin and Angela Underwood. Linc, as his daddy calls him, was born on July 30, 2021, which also happens too be his Daddy's Birthday. Linc was born with a heart issue that they thought would heal on its own as he got older. He appeared to be the perfect little baby boy in every other way until he encountered a virus called RSV. In adults, this is simply a Cold, but for a tiny newborn, it can be very serious and even life threatening. Unfortunately, he could not shake the virus and was put in the NICU at Cook's Childrens Medical Center on September 11, 2021 with RSV, ADNO & Heart Failure - Multi Ventricular Tachycardia and would not get out of the Hospital until November 4, 2021. During those 54 days in the NICU he would have to endure multiple surgeries just to survive. There were many days when everyones faith was truly tested. His parents never left his side. And due to Covid, nobody else could even relieve them to give them some rest. Except for one weekend, where his Nana, Mary Sink, was able to stay with him. Linc finally made it out of NICU and was happy as could be.

 

Today, January 4, 2022, Linc is back at Cook's for what we hope is his final surgery to reverse the Ostomy he and his parents have had to endure since back in November.

 

As you can imagine, their medical expenses have been astronomical. No matter what you can give, it will be truly appreciated. No donation is too small.
