On August 30th, I will be riding in the Pat Smullen Charity Race, This race isn't just about the thrill of riding it's about honouring the memory of my grandad, who we lost to cancer in january 2024, and supporting Cancer Trials Ireland. Losing him was incredibly tough on my family, and I'm riding to ensure that other families might not have to endure the same pain.
Cancer has a way of touching lives unexpectedly. Recently, my past business teacher received a diagnosis of stage 4 spinal cancer at just 32 years old. This news hit hard and reinforced my commitment to this cause. It's a stark reminder of how indiscriminate this disease can be, affecting people of all ages and backgrounds.
I am determined to raise as much money as possible to support cancer research and trials. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. If you're able to donate, your contribution will directly support the development of new treatments and trials. If donating isn't possible, sharing this link can help spread awareness and reach others who may be in a position to contribute. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring hope to those affected by cancer.
