In Memory of Sam Bowen
Donation protected
This fund is dedicated to Sam Bowen. Sam was a wonderful and committed son, brother, husband, and father. Sadly, Sam unexpectedly passed away in the morning hours of October 15, 2014. The intent behind constructing this page is to help raise funds for Sam's two children Will and Lucy.
Sam was born and grew up in Burley, Idaho. Working on the family farm was Sam's passion and was one with the land.
Sam met Heather Pickup in high school after she moved to Idaho in 1993. Sam and Heather were high school sweethearts; Sam asked Heather to the Declo High School prom. Upon graduation from high school, Sam was called to serve a mission to England for the LDS Church. After his honorable two-year service as a missionary, Sam returned to Idaho and soon asked Heather to marry him. Sam and Heather were married in the Logan, Utah temple in 1998.
Sam and Heather have two children Will and Lucy.
Will was born in 2001 and shares the same compassion and love of farming as Sam. Will and Sam were routinely found outside in the tractor with Sam passing down the family farming secrets. Sam has successfully instilled in Will a passion and enthusiasm for farming.
Lucy was born in 2005 and is a daddy's girl in every respect. Not only did Lucy inherit Sam's big brown eyes, but also Sam's big heart. Cuddles on the couch were commonplace and savored by both Sam and Lucy. Lucy was often only consoled in Sam's loving embrace.
Thank you to everyone who has shown such love and support to the Bowen and Pickup family. We have felt your prayers.
