Please help Derek get back on his feet.

In June Derek began suffering from dizziness and was told it was a bad bout of vertigo. He continued to decline in terms of day to day activities and we decided to get an MRI for a second opinion or better insight after two months with no sign of Derek getting better. Immediately after the MRI It was revealed to us that he has a brain tumor on his brain stem. He ended up getting an emergency surgery the week after his 12th birthday which they were able to drain fluid and remove 80% of the tumor. We just received pathology results that is a benign tumor but we still have to wait on results for a treatment plan for the remaining part of the tumor, Derek has a long road of recovery ahead of him (walking, physical therapy, occupational therapy etc). We have spent everyday with him at the hospital as he cannot stand on his own or eat solid food yet etc. I’m hoping these funds will relieve a financial burden while we navigate all of this day by day. Derek is supposed to be entering 7th grade but will unfortunately start late ( hopefully he will start sooner rather than later ) and we are still not sure what the future holds.
