Our Gordon Bowlby has ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

We're a group of friends of Gordon that are raising money for Gordon and his wife Brandy. In recent weeks their lives have been rocked by this horrendous diagnosis which is a terminal illness. We set the fundraising goal at $20,000, but we suspect there may be a greater need so we hope that you kind folks will continue to give over time. We will post updates.

Gordon has been a musician (bass guitar) here on the Olympic Peninsula for well over 55 years. He's been a part of many locally well-known bands and could be counted on to pinch hit when called upon. His mild good nature and ready smile have brightened the day for many and added to the good juju of any performance he was a part of. A few Saturdays ago, he performed for the last time as he wanted to stop playing while he could still play well. And he sure did.

The disease has progressed rapidly and he can no longer play the instrument that he loves.

Gordon and his wife Brandy are facing many challenges now. Tasks of daily living are becoming harder and more time consuming: doctors' visits, therapies, financial issues, legal issues, and planning. This is a dark time for them and their family. We can help by lightening the financial burden as long as Gordon and Brandy need it.
