Liver Transplant
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Dawn Thurman. I am doing a fundraiser for my husband, Timothy Bryan Thurman. Bryan has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, due to a fatty liver. He has been battling this disease for 9 years now. His last hospital visit to Vanderbilt in Nashville, started the pre-screening process for a transplant. While he still has many more test to have done, We are still waiting to be put on the transplant list. Vanderbilt has advised us to prepare a plan of action as soon as possible because that has to be in place before going on transplant list. Once Bryan has the transplant, we will have to stay 30 minutes from the Vanderbilt Hospital for a month. Longer if he has to have physical therapy after transplant. The furnished apartments close to hospital, rent from $2800 to $4000 per month. Other expenses are gas, and groceries. Also during this time, I will be away from my jobs, Hagood Eye Care and Walgreens. So no income will be coming in during this month while in Nashville. We will still have our household expenses as well as the expenses regarding transplant.
This is hard to ask for help, but we are in need for help with the expenses of having a transplant. If you know Bryan, you know he is a very kind hearted man. He has always been a help to others in our community. If it is placed on your heart to donate to this fundraiser to help with the medical and living expenses for Bryan’s liver transplant, we humbly thank you. If you can not help, we ask for your prayers.
Without this new liver, Bryan’s health will keep declining until he passes away. We are asking for Gods will to be done. Bryan always says, “God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.”
Thank you, for taking the time to read this. May God bless you for your kindness towards Bryan and myself. Sincerely, Bryan & Dawn Thurman.
