We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse, caregiver, and compassionate human being who dedicated his life to helping others. Alex worked in the ICU within the U.S. veterans’ healthcare system, caring for those who had already sacrificed so much. He was known by colleagues and friends as kind, gentle, hardworking, and deeply committed to making the world better.

Alex was a son, a friend, a healer, and a light in the lives of many. His sudden and violent death has left his family and loved ones devastated and unprepared for the financial burden that follows such a tragedy.
