Covid Recovery Funds

Good morning Beulah and Lowgap families,

During the Covid epidemic, our youth foundation was hit hard. Since that time we’ve had funds cut due to no concessions, missing out on several sports seasons, decrease in participation because of Covid and other factors.

In saying that, our bills did not stop. You may wonder what bills we have as a youth foundation. Every month we get a power bill in the $400 range, we have to provide fuel to heat the gym during the winter months ($2000) to fill in 2021, we have mowing that cost in the $600 range each month. You may wonder why we have $600 in mowing. Different from those youth foundations we see other places, we aren’t a school facility, so we aren’t fortunate enough to have someone mow or keep the grounds up for us.

We don’t write this to complain, because thankfully to parents and sponsors we are usually able to cover those things with sponsorships, and registration fees. However, we didn’t see those monies during 2020 or early 2021.

As you know we always provide the very best uniforms we can, medals, trophies and we try to limit what we charge our parents, because we know how tough times can be.

In saying this all, we are going to give a “go fund me” a shot to see how much we can raise to contribute to keeping our facilities up, providing the standard of uniforms and awards we wish too, but also to help recoup some of the thousands we were shorted due to Covid.
