The Vermont Suitcase Company is making a film! That's right; your favorite, funny, cheap & cheerful touring theater company is making an actual film full of live actors, puppets, and real film stuff. Can you believe we got the funding to make a feature-length film that we’ll be able to—eventually—share with the world? We are making our version of The Emperor's New Clothes, called—surprise—"New Clothes!” Super originally, am I right? ’Tis the stuff that dreams are made of; the only thing we did not get funding for was to pay the actors for the rehearsals. We are almost entirely born or at least raised in this beautiful place and collect from near and far to create together. We are teachers, actors and community members who believe theater should be a party, and should be for everyone. Like our summer shows, we strive to provide as much of our frivolity and silliness for free to as many people as possible. We do this by funding enough to keep ourselves alive as working performers via Gofundme. Of course, we are in dire times these days, and folks’ health, food, and shelter are the essential things to donate to, but if you’ve got a few dollars left after that, throw them our way. Also, please share this with your friends, your parents, your grandma, your grandma's friend—everyone knows she loves kicking some quarters to the kids. $5, $10, $25, every bit we raise from you, the community, makes this your project too. We strive to be a theater company for our communities in the green mountains, and couldn’t do any of this without all of you. Thank you!
