FWES Tornado Recovery

In the evening after the first day of school, Fort Washington Elementary School was struck by a tornado. The roof over the wing of the building that houses first, second grade and fifth grade was significantly damaged. As such, classrooms in that wing of the building sustained varying degrees of water damage.

As Superintendent Dr. Yanni expressed, "Our schools are the centers - the hearts - of smaller communities that make up our beloved Upper Dublin." This fund is being created by the PTA at the request of school administrators to help us rebuild and replace what we have lost.
