On September 30th, Ryan had a horrible slip that left him being taken to the ER in an ambulance. They discovered that he had a broken femur shattered in several places in the hip area. It’s been a month since and he is recovering slowly, but surely, primarily rehabbing at his parents’ house to allow him more space to ambulate.

He will be out of work for six months to a year, thereby creating an extreme financial hardship. Disability just started to kick in, but not fast or adequate enough for the past and current month’s expenses.

What a great relief that his medical insurance is 100% covering all the insanely major stuff like surgery, hospital stay, physical therapy, and equipment rentals! Unfortunately, there is still the matter of a high deductible, meds, rent, and monthly bills that are all out-of-pocket.

Ryan has always been supportive of others, but now the shoe is on the other foot. Anything you can give will make a huge difference in helping to focus on healing without the weight of financial stress or risk of depression.
