To our family and friends,
As many of you know, our daughter, Katie, has had a rough few years dealing with several physical ailments. And, now, she is faced with a new one. There is some good news: it can be corrected, and it does not appear to be related to her muscular dystrophy. But there is also some bad news: it will be a lengthy and expensive process.
In the last year, Katie's dentist has been keeping an eye on her four front teeth. The roots are "resorbing," or dissolving like those on baby teeth. Right now, they are being held in place by a bar attached to the back of the teeth, but it is getting more and more difficult to eat, and it is like having a constant toothache, times four.
The only way to fix the problem permanently is to remove the teeth and put in implants. It will take at least eight months, and the cost has been estimated at approximately $15,000. Needless to say, that is why we are starting this fundraising campaign and asking for help from you - our family and friends. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us reach this goal, and we will consider ourselves to be greatly blessed. We welcome your prayers as well, and we thank you all in advance for helping us meet this need. The sooner we get going, the sooner this process can begin.
With our appreciation and love,
Bruce and Linda Houseman and
Katie and Anthony Walls
