They called him Mountain Man

Sadly, on a warm summer day in June. Daniel Lee Boden, unexpectedly pasted away at the young age of 69.

 

He was affectionately well known amongst the locals of Somerset Co. and far beyond Pennsylvania as, Mountain Man.

 

An incredibly, uniquely talented, and interesting Individual he was indeed.

 

From his beautiful woodworking skills, to his vast knowledge of herbs and natural approaches to ‘medicine’. He could teach anyone, something. And he found great joy in sharing with, and helping others.

 

If you knew him, you probably had a hand carved walkingstick. Or at the very least, an interesting story to tell about him.

 

We may not have been close, but I have a deep appreciation for him and all the things he did teach me.

He was our Dad. And I know that many people knew, and cared about him as well.

 

So here and now, friends far and wide. I come to you with great humility, to humbly ask for donations to help with laying his body to rest and honoring the life lived.

 

All contributions over the cost, will be donated to a local charity in his name.

May the memory of Dan the Mountain Man Boden, be remembered for years to come.
