Kidnapped Raped Tortured & Beaten in Memphis TN

Hi - My name is Brittany Shoemaker, a 36 year old mother of two, who was recently kidnapped, raped, tortured and beaten while walking to a store in Midtown Memphis.

I was kidnapped, raped, and brutally beaten. Several of my teeth were knocked out of my head. A short time before this event, I was barely clinging to life, hooked up to a ventilator at Methodist Hospital for several months - in 2020, and almost dead. I had to have a tracheotomy to ween myself from the breathing machine and left the hospital in a wheelchair, practically paralyzed. Over the past several years, I have been taken extreme advantage of by multiple people (so-called husband, boyfriends, hangers-on-ers, users, etc.) - who pretended to be my friend(s). I was homeless for a short time and have struggled with substance abuse, depression, PTSD, sexual abuse (adolecent and adult), and missing my children and life. I was abandoned and left for dead in Florida a few years back by my husband.

Despite these challenges, I am still standing and rising like a phoenix. I picked myself up by my own boot straps - and have my own apartment, a decent car, insurance bills, and two loving cats that have probably helped me stay sane more than you might even belioeve. I have kicked all my addict friends to the curb, and thus have only a few people on who I now depend. Recently, and awesomely - I was hand picked (because of my ownership of all actions, success, sobriety, and progress I have made in the last year or so( - to become a Certified Peer Counselor(CPC). Classes begin Monday, October 31st, 2022 (next) Monday!

All those who love Brittany (her Dad speaking) and have been praying for this moment and opportunity and want her to concentrate only on this life changing opportunity to become a professional - get a great job with benefits - and help others as her chosen career. We want to raise enough money for her to get by for 90 days while she concentrates on class, studying, certification, and permanent success.

This is a life-changing moment in time and our modest goal is six thousand dollars) , (2K a month for three months to help with rent, food, medical, dental, and food for her two amazing cats, Sir Jack Black, and James Franco.
