Update: this fundraiser has been changed to a memorial as my mom passed on 3/9/22.
For those of you who know my mom you know she’s struggled with Kidney failure, recovery and failure once again.
She is now facing heart issues, is December 2021 while celebrating Christmas at my home she had a brief moment where she lost consciousness due to her heart skipping and beating irregular. She ended up at the hospital and left with a pace maker about 5 days later.
On Sunday evening 3/6 she went to the ER feeling weak and struggling to breathe. Monday 3/7 she was placed on a ventilator and sedated. Today 3/8 she is being transferred via ambulance code 3 to Kaiser Santa Clara from Kaiser Antioch. Once at Santa Clara and she can breathe on her own she will be having surgery on her heart for her bad aortas.
My step dad has been so strong through all her medical issues including giving her his kidney in 2008. This is so hard and between taking time off of work and caring for her I know money is tight and it will get tighter with all the medical bills.
