I am pleased and excited to announce that I am taking over the Ocean State Waves as President/General Manager. This is a dream come true with a lot of work to be done. I can’t thank the original owners and supporters of the Waves enough. I look forward to giving it my best with this opportunity of a lifetime. I promise to always put community and family first. I will always give the players of Ocean State a great experience and the resources they need to achieve their dreams.
At 28 years old, I never imagined that I would own a baseball franchise. It all seems surreal. There will be some adversity and obstacles but that is life and I am ready for the challenge. The toughest obstacle will be getting cash flow to make this franchise efficient and experience success financially. The first two years were difficult for the Waves franchise. Capital improvements to Old Mountain Field, franchise fees, bus bills, lack of concessions or a controlled gate led to a couple of fiscal years ending in the red. The capital improvements have been made and Old Mountain is a gem for summer baseball. We will continue to improve the community facility. We will build a Board of Directors that will positively serve the community.
Please help support the Ocean State Waves in any way you possibly can by making a donation. The Waves are a non-profit and donations are tax deductible. Thank you all so much and hope to see you ‘catching the Waves.’ If you are interested in volunteering or supporting the Waves in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
