Anna's Medical Expenses

On September 11th, 2014 Anna was 25 weeks pregnant and had a spontaneous rupture of membranes (her water broke). 

After two days of monitoring, and medical attempts to delay labor, Anna went into a precipitous and painful labor. She suffered a 100% placental abruption, requiring emergency, life-saving surgery.

Her child, Anna Kathryn, was born without a heartbeat. She required ten minutes of CPR and was miraculously resuscitated, only to die three days later from complications due to infection, respiratory failure and prematurity.

They were an amazing three days of life. She was beautiful.  She was incredibly loved.



We cried for her, and we buried her, and knew that she went to the arms of an immeasurable Love.

The next day, Anna's incision site began showing signs of infection. She took antibiotics, and packed the wound for weeks. Eventually, she required a second surgery to open up, scrape, and wash out her abscessed surgical incision.

Her best option for healing, and to finally close her wound is called a "wound vac." These miraculous little machines exponentially shorten healing times, and have a huge impact on reducing infection rates after a surgery such as hers...

But her insurance doesn't cover its costs.  They have used all of their savings to pay for the many medical bills they have incurred.  Several friends and family have asked for a venue to help them offset some of their medical costs, and to ensure faster and more effective healing for our Anna.  So here it is...
