Hello everyone! My sweet puppy , Rufus, was very sick all weekend and had to spend a couple of nights at the vet getting fluids and some tests done.

I brought him back in today because he was evidently uncomfortable and losing fluid quite rapidly. An ultrasound revealed he has severe gastroenterocolitis. His fluid loss was pretty severe, and he was approaching hypovolemic shock. They are keeping him for another 1-2 nights, and I am just so thankful that what he has is treatable, and that the emergency staff are so caring.

Unfortunately these are the most expensive sleepovers Rufus has ever had (and hopefully will ever have). Between lab work, sedation meds, X-rays, ultrasounds, and other rule-out tests, these emergency vet bills are HEFTY and I am having trouble affording it all right now. Anything anything anything is so helpful and so greatly appreciated. I am so lucky to be in a position where I can use the resources I have to take care of my pup and ask for help when I need it. Anything leftover that doesn’t go towards Rufus’ vet bills will be donated to a local animal shelter. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Rufus and I love you ❤️
