Help Daniel after his devastating fall

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I am Daniel’s mom. Daniel is 18, he finished high school last year. He spent the summer hanging out with his friends and making tons of memories. He’s such a fun loving guy. On Saturday August 27th I got the phone call any parent dreads, your child has been hurt and is in the Emergency Room. Harsh fact…I work in that very ER, I was hearing his status from my Charge Nurse. Get here she said, just get here safely. Daniel had fallen over 30 ft onto the pavement, I would later learn that he landed on his back. I came in and he was already up in the ICU, it was hours before I could see him. I saw a couple nurse and tech friends that were there, they comforted me and my daughter (Daniel’s sister). Finally getting to see him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, to see your own child on a ventilator is a feeling I hope you never experience. I was told his lungs were badly bruised and cut up on the inside and that’s why he was bleeding so profusely from his mouth and nose. He received 6 bags of blood that morning, and 3 more since then. He broke his shoulder blade, broke his tailbone and fractured his L5 vertebrae. He also broke his pelvis, the head of his femur went straight through the hip socket. He had pelvis surgery on Sunday and thankfully it went well, he will forever have issues with that hip though and probably arthritis. We are on night 7 in the ICU and he is still on the ventilator. A couple days ago he developed pneumonia and they found a blood clot in his right lung. He’s also been battling a very high fever since Monday morning, he constantly packed with ice and getting medication and antibiotics and it just won’t let up.
Its been 1 step forward and 3 steps back the entire time.
Im raising money for Daniel because he was working so hard before his accident, he wanted to get a car and an apartment. He was ready to be on his own and make his way into the world. Now it will be a long time before he can get back to working on his dreams. I would like to help him get that jump start for when he’s finally able to. He will need to get a new job and start saving from scratch again. Would be nice if we could take care of any medical expenses that arise from his lengthy ICU stay and and more than likely rehab and PT for a long time. I want to give him less things to worry about while he’s on this long road to recovery so he can fully focus on just getting better.
