~~Who is Fuzzy Logic~~
Fuzzy Logic Escape Room is a small business and MBE from Downers Grove, IL, that is proud to have delivered to community members and corporate teams the fun of escape rooms, both at their storefront as well as all around the country with its portable escape room games. At the helm are two owners who do this as their full time job - Jayson & Andrew - first time entrepreneurs who started this adventure just a few years ago in 2017.
~~COVID Closure~~
With the response to COVID-19 forcing its doors to be closed and postponing or outright cancelling events they appear at left and right, we've had pretty much no opportunity for business to come in. We've been attending as many webinars discussing small business relief and reading as many articles about that as we can muster. And we, like so many other small businesses, are waiting from larger institutions to let us know about the status of all of the loan and grant applications we've submitted... All the while, we are tapping into emergency savings to be able to pay our bills and keep things afloat while we wait for good news to come our way.
~~Why GoFundMe?~~
We are thrilled that the GoFundMe platform is offering small business owners a glimmer of hope to reach out to their communities, allowing them to run campaigns to help them raise funds through the generosity of donors in the community and to spread the word among all of our networks. ~~Where will the money go?~~
We've set the goal to match the cost of only 2 months' worth of our bare minimum of rent, utilities, insurance, and other expenses that just don't/can't go away even though we don't have people walking in our doors to enjoy our games. Yeah... it's a larger number than we'd want as well. :( ~ Every dollar helps us get closer to the peace of mind that our bank accounts won't run out before things turn around, and the sooner we can get any funds, the better.
~~What's next for Fuzzy Logic?~~
We're maintaining cautious optimism that things start looking up again in July, and we'll return to this space to provide updates based on what happens with the prolonged response to COVID-19.
