The Capital Region F.O.O.L.S. were founded based highly on the importance of the brotherhood in the fire service. We are a family of firefighters, or 'brother's from different mother's' as some put it. Our organization values the brotherhood, preserving tradition, training, and of course everything the International F.O.O.L.S. are based on including but not limited to: Doing the Right Thing, Protecting the Brother, and being there For the Member.
Our President, Mike France, has always been one of the first people to open his arms and his wallet to a brother in need, but unfortunately Mike has been dealt a tough deck. Mike's wife, Dawn passed away Friday (10/17) from stage 4 brain cancer. The Capital Region F.O.O.L.S. are banding together to raise funds for Mike's family (including his two school-aged children) to help offset the funeral service costs for Dawn. He has already begun to dip into retirement accounts as the bills are coming in. Mike is the last person to ask for help, let alone money.
PLEASE help us reach our goal to support a brother, a firefighter, a friend, a father, and a husband. 100% of any donation we recieve is going to the France family to help keep their world turning during this very trying time.
