Jake Wilson and Devin VadeBoncoeur are getting married on June 26, 2016.
Having lived together for some time now, we are blessed enough to already possess items most newlywed couples would need.
In lieu of registering for gifts, we are asking our friends and family to instead contribute to this gofundme account which we will put towards our wedding/honeymoon.
Any amount that you are able to put towards our special day and or honeymoon would be more than appreciated. Our friends and family have supported us throughout our five years of being together and we can't thank everyone enough for the love that you have shown.
Jake and I are very excited to begin our lives as a married coulple and start our journey together as Mr. and Mrs. Wilson.
Our Story In A Nutshell:
Jake and Devin were friends for two years before they they decided that they wanted to pursue a relationship together. It took Jake quite some time to muster up the courage to ask Devin on a romantic date to "Taco Surf" which is also known as the most casual restaurant in Long Beach. However, it was not the location that mattered, but the connection between the two that started the begining of their long journey together. Over the next five years Devin and Jake continued to grow individually and as a couple. Both Devin and Jake completed college and began working in their respective careers. As their lives began to fall into place Jake knew that it was time for the next step.
The Proposal:
Devin is one that can very rarely be surprised and it was Jake's mission with this proposal to surprise her. The first step was finding the ring of Devin's dream; Jake knew he had to find a way to go ring shopping without her knowing. He therefore, took many days off work without her knowing searching for the ring until he found the perfect diamond. After finding the ring it was simply waiting for the right moment to pop the question.
On June 20th, 2015 Devin woke up that morning not knowing that by the end of the day she would finally be engaged to the man of her dreams. As she left the house to attend a baby shower Jake began setting up their apartment for the big moment. Jake had filled the living room of their apartment with candles, previously written love letters, and an array of decorations to make this moment as magical as possible. He waited patiently anticipating the arrival of his fiance to be.
It was to Devin's surprise that the moment in which she had been waiting for had finally happened. She opened the door to the beginning of a truly magical scene: a romatic setting of candles that filled the living room and Jake standing their waiting for her to stand next to him. Jake took her hands and expressed to her how excited he is to start this exciting new journey with him. Without any hesitiation he got down on one knee and asked one of the most important questions of his life: "Will you marry me?" To no one's surprise Devin's answer was "YES!"
Our Next Step As Mr. & Mrs.:
On June 26th, 2016 we will be getting married in front of our close friends and family in Southern California. We are very excited for this special day and look forward to seeing those that are able to attend.
After our wedding day it is our dream to spend our honeymoon together in The Caribbean, as neither one of us have been able to explore the beauties of the world beyond the United States.
With our GoFundMe contributions we hope to make our dream honeymoon come true.
