Hi, I’m Gaura. My life-long dream is to make a difference as a Green Architect — in sustainable architecture, the building industry, and this world. As a senior architecture student at the University of Florida, I am already on track to be your future Green Architect.
With my final undergraduate semester, I will be learning and living in Italy for FOUR MONTHS!
But considering the length of this study abroad, the cost is steep. So including the support of my remaining savings, scholarships, grants, and family contributions, I am still coming up short.
Is this endeavor worth it? Absolutely, and this is because of the culture. I want to learn and work in a surrounding of great architecture and art of both the past and present. This immersion in art, culture, and architecture will broaden my view, and establish my skill-set as a Green Architect.
The big picture is to fulfill my passion — sustainable architecture. I care enough to make a difference, and so I am graduating UF’s undergrad in architecture along with LEED accreditation, a minor in Sustainability in the Built Environment, and a completed year of grant research, where I am creating an argument for engineered wood as a solution, an opportunity to ecologically “grow” our buildings. I will change the world as a green architect, and will use this fervor in my pursuit of Italy and graduate study.
Please help me change the world for the better. It’ll happen quicker if we do it together.
. . . to Italy,
and beyond . . .
This campaign is simply a request, an appeal to my extended family, friends, well wishers, and patrons of sustainable architecture, to contribute what you are inspired to.
After Italy I have my master’s program to pay for, so any funds that exceed the $3,500 goal will be put towards graduate study.
A special thanks to my parents and grandparents who have already contributed generously.
Remember, every amount helps!
Thank you for your time and support.
