My name is Ron, and I have been officially selected to represent Canada in Wushu Sanda at the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships in Tianjin, China.
I am a multi-time Canadian National Sanda Champion, a Pan American Kung Fu Championships gold medalist, and I currently hold an undefeated competitive record of 14 wins and 0 losses. After 8 years of dedicated training in Traditional Kung Fu, Weapons, and Wushu Sanda, earning this opportunity to compete on the world stage is a milestone I am incredibly proud of. This opportunity represents years of sacrifice, discipline, and belief from my family and coaches, and a chance to stand among the world’s best.
At 16 years old, I hold a 2nd Duan Black Sash and have earned multiple gold medals across Bare Hand Forms, Weapon Forms, Wushu Warrior’s Challenge, and Sanda. Beyond competition, I have also begun working as a junior Kung Fu instructor, helping younger students develop discipline, confidence, humility, and respect — values that are at the heart of martial arts.
While my family and I have invested everything we can into my training and preparation, international competition comes with significant costs. I currently receive no financial support from any official organization, and the expenses associated with travelling to China are beyond what we can manage alone.
The total cost of this trip is approximately $5,000, which includes:
• International flights
• Accommodation
• Meals
• Local transportation
All funds raised will go directly toward covering these essential expenses, allowing me to focus fully on preparation and performance rather than financial stress.
Any contribution — no matter the amount — truly makes a difference. Your support helps turn years of hard work into the opportunity to represent Canada with pride on the world stage.
Thank you sincerely for your support and belief in my journey.
