Hi there, my name is Jina. Yesterday I was driving down to Bloomington, IL from Chicago for my last semester of Nursing School when my car suddenly caught on fire. By some higher power, my car suddenly turned off and I was able to coast to safety. Shortly thereafter, the car was in flames. I came out unscathed and two lovely people named Amanda and Tyson helped save the day, truly!
Thankfully, I was not hurt, but I lost many of my belongings in my trunk, including clothing for my clinical rotations and school materials such as textbooks and notebooks. Unfortunately, the car was a total loss. I currently work for OSF in Peoria as a Student Nurse Intern on the Surgical ICU. I love this job and it provides me with amazing experiences that I hope to continue in the future as a bedside nurse in critical care. I commute to this location weekly and hope to raise funds to purchase a used vehicle that can get me to this location and clinical sites in Ottowa Illinois and in town, as well as costs to replace items that I would use throughout the remainder of my semester.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story! I was told that God was on my side yesterday and I think he really was. :(
