The True Vision School on Zanzibar is a school dedicated to supporting orphan and underprivileged children aiming to provide them with quality education and a good meal, to break the cycle of poverty. The school up until today fully relies on unsure local donations and has zero government funding.
The school recently had to move to a different building due to rising rental prices. To help the school, together with local NGO TZIVA we assisted in securing a multi-year lease contract on favorable terms. This ensures the school has a permanent location until at least 2030 and helps them with a long term savings plan.
Now it is important that the new building gets renovated, a schoolyard will be constructed, and that the children can learn in a safe environment, with a structured curriculum and good (English) books to guarantee a brighter future for all kids.
Let's put our hands together for the children!
> For a donation of $40 one child can go to school for a full year (currently 100 children in school);
> For a total of $1000 we can renovate three classrooms in the new building;
> For a total of $500 we can construct a schoolyard;
> For a total of $500 we can construct a small kitchen;
> For a total of $750 we can arrange a more structured curriculum and new books.
Within a few months we will update to all people who donated what we have build so far!
Donations can be made in any currency and will go directly to the school. Once we reach our goal, all extra money will be securely saved for rental, food and other daily spending purposes.
My name is Eline and together with other volunteers I teach at True Vision School, as well as helping to build a steady and bright future for the school and all (future) students.
