Future Assistance dog Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Lucas, a volunteer dog trainer of StrikeMore assistance dog training. I am raising funds to raise and train an assistance dog that will be placed with a disabled person in my local community.
We would love it if you would take just a couple of minutes to read and consider supporting our fundraising for an assistance dog.
——
The puppy prospect will be raised in a home setting in Merseyside, United Kingdom under the training of StrikeMore assistance dog training for the first 2 1/2 to 3 years of his life.
They will be socialised and trained to handle all public access environments for the first year, have basic obedience cues and begin working towards his KC CGC awards.
Applications will then be opened and interviews taken place to find his forever home. These applications are limited to members of Merseyside for this prospect as StrikeMore assistance dog training would like to be relatively local if any working issues arise for support and help.
The prospect puppy will then spend a further 1 1/2 to 2 years at my home, learning how to do specialised tasks to mitigate their new owners disabilities, as well as further socialisation in areas that his future owner visits often.
They will go to puppy fosterers multiple times during his stay at StrikeMore assistance dog training to learn how to behave in different homes, learn that moving homes isn’t a big deal and so that that don’t develop any separation anxiety to their 1 on 1 board and train home.
The puppy prospect will also have regular visits with his future owner to build their relationship and learn how to work alongside them.
StrikeMore Assistance dog training uses force free, reward based training methods for all aspects of socialisation and training.
The target goal is set to £6,500. All donations towards this will go towards one year of 1-on-1 training and boarding with StrikeMore assistance dog training which includes insurance, food, vet bills, socialisation and training outings, KC CGC classes, puppy fosters, travel costs and equipment and work gear.
Please help spread the word as this dog could change someone’s life!

We have hit 10% of our goal so far! Thank you to the donors and supporters that make this possible!
