Hi, my name is Yasmine, and I’m a South Florida native working toward my dream of becoming a professional airline pilot. I’ve earned my Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, and Multi-Engine Rating, and my next goal is to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) — a key step toward reaching the 1,000 flight hours required for my Airline Transport Pilot License. I’ve worked hard and come far, but I’ve now reached a point where I need a little extra help to be able achieve my goal.

Ever since I took my first flight lesson in 2018, I’ve known that aviation is where I’m meant to be. I was born and raised in South Florida, and for as long as I can remember, the skies have called to me. Over the past seven years, I’ve poured everything I have into flight training — earning my Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, and Multi-Engine Rating.

My next big step is to become a Flight Instructor, which will allow me to gain the hours and experience I need to reach my ultimate goal: becoming an airline pilot. Unfortunately, I’ve reached the limit of what I can fund through loans, and I’ve had to pause training several times due to financial challenges. Despite those setbacks, I’ve never lost sight of my dream. Each obstacle has only strengthened my determination.

The funds raised here will go directly toward plane rentals, fuel, instructor fees, checkride costs, and training materials. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings me one step closer to completing my next license and continuing to build the hours I need to achieve my Airline Transport Pilot certification.

Beyond my personal goals, I’m deeply passionate about giving back to the aviation community. I’ve been involved with Sisters of the Skies, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Women in Aviation International, and Alpha Eta Rho. My mission is not just to fly but to inspire and open doors for the next generation, especially young people who may not realize that aviation can be within their reach.

Today, I have 250 flight hours, and I need to reach 1,000 total hours. Becoming a CFI will not only help me reach that milestone but also allow me to teach and mentor others who share this passion.
