In memory of Charles Johnson
Donation protected
This campaign is for my dad Charles Johnson who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday afternoon. My dad was the type of guy who would give up his last penny if you needed it. He was the funniest, most caring big hearted guy I know.
Some years ago he was in a bad truck accident with work leaving him partially paralyzed with nerve damage throughout his legs. He has been surviving on disability because he was unable to work. To say my parents were woefully unprepared for this tragedy is an understatement. My mom informed me upon arriving that she didn't have the money to really do anything to memorialize my dad and I can't let that happen. For her sake or my dad's.
My dad always told me that he wanted to be creamated so each of us kids, 5 in total, and my mom could have a little piece of him and the rest could be scattered in Duluth off the shore of Lake Superior. Most of the money from this campaign will go towards that. I did some research for those prices and it looks to be between $1500-$2000. Whatever is left over would go towards a memorial service for my dad and then to help my mom out.
Thank you so much for reading, the responses I have gotten from everyone on facebook from this news has been overwhelming and reading everyone's good memories and kind words as they share stories of my dad has completely warmed my heart.
